FAQs.
Are your assessments face-to-face or virtual?
I carry out face-to-face assessments at my home in South Buckinghamshire. I am willing to travel to schools within the selected area on the map in Assessments. Please contact me for further details and travel costs.
What is Dyscalculia?
Dyscalculia is thought to affect approximately 5% of the population. Whilst research into its causes are about 30 years behind that of dyslexia, dyscalculia is generally referred to as a specific learning difficulty in maths, in particular arithmetic.
What's your background?
I have been a primary school teacher since 2001, teaching across all age ranges. For the past ten years I have been Head of Maths at a prep school and now I work at that same school as a Learning Support Teacher, with a focus on helping pupils in Maths. In 2023 I achieved my Postgraduate Diploma (Dyscalculia) with Edge Hill University and then my Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) from Patoss. I carry out full face-to-face diagnostic assessments for dyscalculia.
What do you charge and when?
Details of my fees can be found lower down on the main Assessments page.
